Sculptural Raku fired vase. Coiled vase glazed in a copper matte wash and white crackle.
The vase shows the spectacular vibrancy of copper matte Raku. The colours are caused by the flames licking the surface of the glaze while the red hot pot is starved of oxygen when in the reduction bin.
The vase is 34 cm tall.
